One Arm Floor Press
Triceps · Barbell
How to do it
Lie on the floor with your back down and knees bent, holding a dumbbell or kettlebell in **one hand**, arm straight over your chest. Lower until your elbow touches the floor, pause and press. Your other arm, spread on the floor, anchors you. One-armed, your torso wants to rotate and the abs work as hard as the triceps. The classic mistake is letting the opposite shoulder lift off the floor as you press: if it rises, the weight has beaten your core.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
