One-Arm Open Palm Kettlebell Clean
Legs · Kettlebell
How to do it
Kettlebell between your feet. Grip it with one hand and drive it up, letting it rotate onto your forearm, but **with an open palm**: your fingers do not close on the handle at the catch. It is held by arm position and contact alone. Lower closing your hand again. Unable to grip, the only way it stays up is a perfect path and a soft catch. **This is a technique drill, done light.** The classic mistake is trying it with your normal clean weight.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
