How to do it
Push-up position with hands slightly wider than your shoulders and a straight body. Shift your weight to one side, letting that elbow bend while the other arm straightens, go as low as you can and come back by pushing with the bent arm to cross to the other side. Your body travels side to side like a windscreen wiper. You feel one side of the chest working almost alone and the abs stopping the hips from turning. The classic mistake is twisting the torso to reach further: shoulders and hips stay square to the floor the whole time.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
