Incline Cable Chest Press
Chest · Cable
How to do it
Sit in the cable station with the backrest inclined and the handles slightly below your shoulders, elbows at 90 degrees and chest up. Press up and forward, bringing your hands together at the end, and return keeping tension without letting the stack rest. The angle moves the work to the upper chest, and the cable keeps tension at the close too, which is exactly where an incline barbell press gets a rest. The classic mistake is arching your back to push your chest up: arch and you are back to a flat press.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
