Hip Flexion with Band

How to do it

Tie one end of the band low on a post and the other to your ankle. Face away from the anchor, hold something for balance, and **with a straight knee** bring the leg forward as far as you can; return slowly without letting the band drag you. It works the hip flexors, which lift the knee when you run and almost never get trained directly. The classic mistake is leaning your torso back to get the leg higher: your body stays upright and only the leg travels.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
