Gorilla Chin/Crunch
Core · Bodyweight
How to do it
Hang from a bar with an underhand grip slightly wider than your shoulders. **Bend your knees and bring them to your chest**, and from there do a chin-up keeping them tucked, bringing your chin to the bar as your abs crunch. Lower under control without releasing the tuck. It is a chin-up and a crunch at once, and what you feel most is the abs holding position while your arms pull. The classic mistake is letting the knees drop on the way up: once they do, it is just a chin-up.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
