Full Range-Of-Motion Lat Pulldown

How to do it

Standing or seated under two high pulleys, take a handle in each hand **with your arms crossed**: right hand to the left pulley and vice versa. Chest up and a slight arch in the lower back. Pull down and out, uncrossing your arms, until they are beside your ribs; squeeze the lats and return letting your shoulder blades rise fully at the top. The crossover lengthens the range at both ends, which is what the name is about. The classic mistake is leaning back to pull: the torso stays upright.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
