Frankenstein Squat
Legs · Barbell
How to do it
This is a technique drill. Rest the bar on the front of your shoulders **without holding it**: arms straight out in front, parallel to the floor, like a film monster. Do a full front squat keeping the bar there. The only way it does not fall is keeping your elbows high and your torso upright, which is exactly what you are trying to learn. **Empty bar or close to it.** The classic mistake is trying it loaded: the goal here is the position, not the weight.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
