Elevated Back Lunge
Legs · Barbell
How to do it
Bar on your upper back and a low platform **behind** you. Step back onto the platform and drop straight down until your front thigh is parallel; drive through the front heel to return. With the back foot raised, the front leg takes more of the load and the range is longer. You feel the glute of the front leg. The classic mistake is pushing hard through the back foot: that foot balances, it does not drive.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
