Dumbbell Side Bend

How to do it

Stand with a dumbbell in one hand, palm towards your body, and your other hand on your hip or behind your head. Feet at shoulder width. **Bend towards the dumbbell side** at the waist until you feel the stretch on the opposite flank, and return to the middle squeezing the obliques. Do all the reps and swap. The classic mistake is holding a dumbbell in each hand: with weight on both sides they cancel out and the exercise stops making sense.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
