Dumbbell Floor Press
Triceps · Dumbbell · ×2 dumbbells
You hold two: the weight you log is ONE dumbbell's, and volume counts both.
How to do it
Lie on the floor with a dumbbell in each hand and your knees bent. Start with your arms straight over your chest and lower **until your elbow touches the floor**, pause there for an instant and press. The floor cuts the range exactly where the shoulder starts to complain on a bench, so it is the press for touchy-shoulder days, and with no stretch the triceps take more of it. The classic mistake is bouncing your elbow off the floor: you touch, pause and press.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
