Decline Close-Grip Bench To Skull Crusher
Triceps · Barbell
How to do it
Lock your legs into the decline bench and lie back with a barbell gripped **at shoulder width or slightly closer**. Do a close-grip press lowering to your chest with the elbows tucked; and in the same rep, from the top, **lower the bar towards your forehead bending only the elbow** and extend. It is two exercises chained, so the triceps get heavy work and isolation back to back. The classic mistake is treating them as two separate movements: they chain without releasing tension.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
