Close-Grip EZ Bar Curl
Biceps · Barbell
How to do it
Standing tall, grip the EZ bar by its **inner handles**, the close ones, underhand. Elbows at your sides and still. Curl bending only the elbow to shoulder height, squeeze for a second and lower over three seconds to a full stretch. A close grip loads the long head a little more, the outer one, which is what makes the peak. The classic mistake is letting the elbows drift forward to lift higher: once they do, the shoulder comes in.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
