Cable Incline Triceps Extension
Triceps · Cable
How to do it
Lie on an incline bench with your back to a high pulley fitted with a straight bar. Grip it overhead at shoulder width and extend your arms in front. **With the elbows anchored pointing up**, lower the bar bending only the forearms and extend. With the arm overhead the long head of the triceps works stretched, and the cable keeps tension at lockout. The classic mistake is letting the elbows flare out on the way down: they point forward.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
