Bottoms Up

How to do it

Lie on your back with your legs straight and arms at your sides. Raise your legs together to vertical and, from there, **push your feet towards the ceiling lifting your hips off the floor**, as if trying to touch the ceiling with your soles. Lower under control. The useful range is those few centimetres of hip: it is pure lower-ab work. The classic mistake is throwing your legs for momentum; if the hips rise on inertia, you have not done the rep.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
