Bent Over Two-Dumbbell Row

You hold two: the weight you log is ONE dumbbell's, and volume counts both.

How to do it

A dumbbell in each hand with palms facing your torso. Knees slightly bent, hips back and torso hinged to nearly parallel with the floor, back flat and head in line. The weights hang under your shoulders. Row with the elbows going back and close to the body until the dumbbells touch your ribs; squeeze the blades and lower to a full stretch. You feel the lats and mid back. The classic mistake is swinging to move the weight: if your torso rises, that kilo is being paid for by your lower back.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
