Bent Over Low-Pulley Side Lateral
Shoulders · Cable
How to do it
Take a low-pulley handle with the **opposite** hand so the cable crosses in front of you. Hinge at the hips until you are nearly parallel to the floor, legs slightly bent and your free hand braced on your knee or a bench. Open the arm out and up with a slight bend at the elbow, to shoulder height, and return slowly. Crossed over, the cable pulls at exactly the rear delt's angle from the very first centimetre. The classic mistake is rotating the torso to follow the arm.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
