Band Good Morning
Legs · Band
How to do it
Stand on one end of the band with both feet slightly apart and loop the other end behind your neck. Stand tall, chest up and knees only just unlocked. Push your hips back, tipping your torso forward with a flat back until you feel the hamstrings; come back squeezing the glutes. The band gets harder the taller you stand, which is where a barbell good morning is lightest, so the glutes work all the way. The classic mistake is bending the knees to go lower: this is a hip hinge, not a squat.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
