Alternate Heel Touchers
Core · Bodyweight
How to do it
Lie on the floor with your knees bent and feet about half a metre apart, arms straight at your sides. Lift your shoulders slightly off the floor and, holding that position, **side-bend to touch your heel with your hand**; return to the middle and touch the other. The range is short and what works is the obliques in side flexion. The classic mistake is resting your head between reps: your shoulders do not touch down again until the set is finished.
Variants
The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
