Incline Dumbbell Press

You hold two: the weight you log is ONE dumbbell's, and volume counts both.

How to do it

Bench at 30 degrees, dumbbells kneed up into place. Neutral wrists, elbows stacked under the hands the whole way. Lower until you feel the upper chest stretch, a couple of fingers below shoulder line, and press in a soft arc inwards. You should feel it in the upper chest, not in your neck or traps. The classic mistake is shrugging towards your ears as you press: drop the weight and keep the blades still and down.

Variants

The drawing shows one way of doing it, and the technique above describes that one. Almost every exercise has variants — standing or seated, the grip, the bench angle — and is still the same exercise: if you do it another way, write it in the exercise note and you will have it every time you train it.
